What are Orthopedic Impairment Services?
Orthopedic Impairment (OI) is a special education eligibility category for students whose physical impairments adversely affect their educational performance. Students with orthopedic impairments may have conditions affecting their bones, joints, muscles, or nervous system — including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, limb differences, and other physical disabilities. STS provides specialized support services for students with orthopedic impairments — including physical therapy, occupational therapy, assistive technology, and specialized academic instruction. Our team works collaboratively to ensure students with physical disabilities have full access to their educational environment and curriculum, with appropriate accommodations, modifications, and support services.
Access, inclusion, and opportunity for every student.
